Custom-sized saunas

We offer custom sauna sizes to suit your room, garden building or commercial space. Share your dimensions and intended use so we can plan the layout, seating and equipment around your project.

Harvia heaters · dual-heater options

We use Harvia sauna heaters and can specify two heaters where suitable for the design. Heater sizing, controls, clearances, ventilation and electrical capacity are checked together against the selected equipment’s requirements. Infrared cabins use a different heating system.

A sauna planned around your space

A successful sauna installation starts with the room, not just the heater. The available space, construction, intended number of users and route for power and ventilation all influence the specification. We help homeowners, businesses and trade partners understand these requirements before equipment is ordered or building work begins.

Vertex Climate provides home and indoor traditional sauna installation, outdoor and garden sauna installation, and commercial sauna installation throughout the UK. We assess the proposed location, discuss how you want to use the sauna, and agree the equipment and work included in your quotation. Your project may involve a new room, a supplied cabin or coordination with a builder preparing the space.

Installation includes the agreed heater, controls and ventilation work, followed by commissioning and handover. Our fully qualified electricians can carry out the electrical work as part of a complete installation, from small projects to larger schemes. Timber construction, site preparation and any specialist building work are clearly allocated in the project scope. We explain what is included and what needs checking before a date is agreed, giving you a practical basis for comparing quotations.

Technical planning, clear responsibilities

Our work brings together heater selection, electrical considerations, ventilation and installation coordination. You receive a project-specific quotation rather than a price based only on the size of a cabin.

  • Discuss room dimensions, usage and equipment before committing to a purchase.
  • Identify electrical capacity, cable routes and ventilation requirements during planning.
  • Agree access, site preparation and responsibilities with you and any other trades.
  • Commission the installation and explain controls, operation and routine care at handover.

04 / Process

From initial conversation to handover

The scope and timescale are agreed around your site rather than a fixed installation promise.

Indoor or outdoor: what changes?

An indoor sauna needs a suitable room with a workable ventilation route, space around the heater and a construction approach appropriate to heat and moisture. Circulation space, door movement and neighbouring rooms matter just as much as the footprint shown in a brochure.

A garden sauna also needs a suitable base, weather-resistant construction, a safe access route and a planned electrical supply to the building. Delivery access and any planning or building-control requirements should be resolved before ordering. Outdoor upkeep includes the external structure as well as the heater and internal finishes.

What affects sauna installation cost in the UK?

The sauna type, room dimensions, timber and finishes, heater and controls, electrical work, ventilation and site preparation all affect the price. A straightforward prepared room and a new garden cabin with a distant electrical connection are not comparable scopes.

We do not publish a fixed price that may omit essential work. Share photographs, measurements, your postcode and the intended use so we can discuss the right assessment and prepare a tailored quotation. Ask which equipment, labour, commissioning, VAT and third-party work are included.

UK-wide sauna installation

We accept sauna installation enquiries across the United Kingdom, including London and surrounding areas. Share your postcode at the start so we can confirm site access, assessment arrangements, travel requirements and scheduling for your project.

Coverage does not mean every project can be installed immediately. Equipment availability, site readiness and the agreed scope determine the programme. We do not claim local offices in every area we serve.

Sauna installation questions

How much does sauna installation cost in the UK?

It depends on the sauna, equipment, size and site work. Electrical alterations, ventilation, foundations and access can materially change the total. Request an itemised quotation rather than relying on a cabin-only price.

Can a sauna be installed inside a house?

Yes, a home sauna is possible where the room, construction, ventilation and electrical provision are suitable. We assess the proposed space before confirming a specification.

Can I install a sauna in my garden?

We install garden saunas. The project needs suitable ground preparation, access, weather protection and services. Check the applicable planning and building-control position before committing to construction.

How long does sauna installation take?

There is no single timescale. A prepared cabin and a bespoke room with new services require different work. We discuss equipment lead times, site preparation and installation dates after reviewing the scope.

Does a sauna require dedicated electrical work?

The heater and control manufacturer's specification determines the supply requirements. Our fully qualified electricians assess capacity, protective measures, isolation and testing, and can include the electrical work in your complete installation. Do not assume an existing socket is suitable.

What ventilation does a sauna need?

Air supply and extraction must suit the heater, room and ventilation method. Vent positions can affect temperature sensors. Use the exact equipment instructions and a site-specific design rather than a universal vent layout.

Do garden saunas require planning permission?

It depends on the property and location. In England some sauna outbuildings may fall under permitted development subject to all applicable limits and exclusions. Rules differ across the UK. Confirm the position with the relevant local authority; planning permission and building regulations are separate questions.

What is the difference between infrared and traditional saunas?

Traditional saunas use a heater, often with stones, to warm the cabin; infrared cabins use radiant panels. Layout and equipment requirements differ. We currently advertise traditional home, garden and commercial installations, not an infrared installation service.

Can a sauna be installed in a commercial property?

Yes. Commercial projects need planning around expected usage, access, cleaning, controls and operational responsibilities. We work with the operator and project team to define the installation scope.
